METO and Mertal Showcased Electrical Solutions at IEEE PES T&D 2026
August 21, 2026
A retrospective from the IEEE PES T&D Conference & Exposition in Chicago
EVENT RECAP | MAY 5-7, 2026 | CHICAGO, ILLINOIS
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS – METO and Mertal participated in the 2026 IEEE PES T&D Conference & Exposition from May 5 through May 7 at McCormick Place. At Booth 4238, the brands presented a focused range of electrical distribution, circuit protection, wiring device, and power connection solutions to industry professionals who attended the exhibition.
METO and Mertal Showcase Power Solutions in Chicago
The IEEE PES T&D Conference & Exposition brought utilities, manufacturers, distributors, engineers, and other power industry professionals together in Chicago. METO and Mertal took part in the event to present their product range and discuss solutions for power distribution, protection, metering connections, and electrical access.
Held at McCormick Place, the exhibition gave both brands the opportunity to meet customers and industry partners in person. During the event, the teams spoke with wholesalers, importers, distributors, utility representatives, engineering contractors, and potential OEM partners about product requirements for different markets and applications.
These conversations provided useful feedback on technical specifications, certification needs, sourcing priorities, and project requirements, helping METO and Mertal better understand the expectations of customers across different regions.
The display at Booth 4238 brought several complementary electrical product categories into one presentation. This combination helped visitors view how metering, distribution, circuit protection, switching, and power access products fit within residential, commercial, utility, and project-based electrical applications.
Load centers and distribution equipment were presented for organized circuit management across varied electrical installations.
Meter sockets and meter bases were shown as connection products for utility metering and downstream electrical distribution.
Circuit breakers represented the protection category within the displayed product portfolio.
Wall switches and standard receptacles demonstrated practical wiring-device options for everyday electrical use.
USB outlets and GFCI outlets highlighted power-access choices that addressed charging convenience and application-specific protection needs.
The combined display reflected the brands’ attention to a complete electrical product offering. The presentation allowed visitors to consider individual devices as well as the broader relationship between service entrance equipment, branch-circuit protection, and final power-access points.
Booth 4238 Supported Practical Industry Dialogue
Over the three-day exhibition, the booth became a place for practical discussions about product selection, technical requirements, and project needs. Visitors reviewed the displayed products and exchanged views with the teams on compatibility, quality consistency, delivery schedules, customization, and long-term supplier cooperation.
The event also provided direct feedback from different markets. Conversations with customers and industry partners highlighted several factors that continue to influence electrical product sourcing, including clear technical documentation, certification support, efficient communication, and reliable production planning.
These exchanges gave METO and Mertal a clearer view of how purchasing requirements vary by market and where suppliers can provide more effective support throughout the sourcing process.
The Chicago Exhibition Strengthened International Connections
By participating in the 2026 exhibition, METO and Mertal strengthened their visibility among power and electrical industry professionals.
The event connected product presentation with direct market feedback and gave the brands a stronger foundation for future cooperation with global customers and project partners.
Chicago provided an international meeting point where technical interests and commercial needs came together. The experience reinforced the value of clear communication, responsive service, stable product quality, and solution-oriented cooperation in long-term electrical supply relationships.
